Mary Lynette Havard Lucas was called to our Lord on Saturday, April 4, 2015. Mary was born in Beaumont, Texas on October 30, 1957. She moved from California to Cuero, Texas where she raised her son Joseph Adam Taylor. On September 21, 1990 Mary and Leslie Wayne Lucas were married. Their sweet family consists of twin daughters, Elizabeth Gail and Kyra Dawn, and youngest daughter Hannah Leigh. Mary was always on hand to help Leslie with their two businesses, Lucas Mopars and Lucas Construction Co.

Mary's spirit will long be felt at St. Michael's Catholic Church where she was a devout active member. Mary's strength in life came from her constant deep faith in God. Her role as mother brought her energetic involvement in many school, community, and church activities. Mary was much loved and appreciated by all who had the privilege to have known and been touch by her warmth, humility and love.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved mother Lillian Havard.
She is survived by her devoted husband, daughters, son and his wife Tana Elaine Taylor and her precious granddaughter Olive Rayne Taylor, her loving brother Steve Hawkins, his son Chris Hawkins, her loving sister Kathleen Gail Miller and dear niece and nephew Alexa Miller and Van Sanders.

We have lost and heaven has received a beautiful sister, wife, mother, aunt and friend.

Visitation will be Friday, April 10, 2015, 9 am, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with the a Rosary starting at 9:30 am. The funeral mass will follow, beginning at 10 am, with Father David Berger officiating.
