Mary V. Hernandez, 92, of Cuero passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018. She was born July 30, 1925 in Yorktown to the late Louis and Leonarda Vasquez. She married the love of her life, Trinidad Hernandez, in Cuero. Mary was a wonderful homemaker. The most important thing in Mary's life was her family. She loved and cherished all the time she spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. Mary is survived by her daughters, Patricia Ann Morales and Mary Alice Trevino, both of Cuero; sons, Paul Hernandez and Trino Hernandez, both of Cuero; sister, Janie Garza of Cuero; and five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 12 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe with the Rosary being prayed at 12:30 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father Jacob Mendoza officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Chris Hernandez, Fred Morales, Joe Trevino, Refugio Vasquez, Billy Rodriguez, and Gregory Escobedo. Honorary pallbearers include Rudy Rodriquez and Daniel Rodriquez. Memorial contributions may be made to help defray funeral expenses.
