Mary Carmen Huerta, 70, of Cuero went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 3, 2017. She was born February 24, 1946 in San Antonio to the late Manuel and Dolores Rodriguez Flores. Mary married Gilbert Huerta on June 5, 1966 in San Antonio. She enjoyed sewing, crochet, taking care of the elderly but, most of all she enjoyed singing the gospel and telling people about the Lord. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert; daughters, Isabel Huerta and Carmen Huerta both of Cuero and Dolores Huerta of Victoria; sons, Gilbert Huerta, Jr. (Melinda) of San Antonio and Jeremiah Huerta of Austin; sisters, Irma Longoria (Armando); brothers, Manuel Flores, Jr. (Mellie), Albert Flores (Liz), and Jamie Flores all of San Antonio; 5 granddaughters, 5 grandsons and 2 great grandsons. She is preceded in death by her parents;sister, Beatrice Flores; and brothers, Juan Flores and Hector Flores. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 9 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home with services to begin at 10 a.m. with Pastor Andrew Cantu officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.
