Obituary
Mary Jewel Pickens, 60, of Cuero, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015. She was born May 5, 1954 in Yorktown to the late Donrell Pickens and Thelma Pickens (Anderson).
She is survived by sisters, Lillian Ellis and Shirley Battles (Lionel) both of Victoria, and Laura McKinnon (Freeman) of San Antonio; brothers Don Pickens (Emma) and Larry Pickens, of Cuero, and Mike Pickens of Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donrell Pickens and Thelma Pickens Anderson; and brother, Floyd Anthony Pickens.
Funeral will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Mt. Bethany Baptist Church, in Thomaston, with Rev. Kevin Washington officiating.
Pallbearers include Don Pickens, Larry Pickens, Lionel Battles, Freeman McKinnon, Sidney Battles, Michael Pickens and Joe Pickens. Honorary pallbearers include Gary Pickens, Robert Gibbs and Andy King.
