CUERO - Mary Trevino, 65, of Cuero, passed away Monday, March 16, 2009. She was born March 6, 1944, in Los Indios. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She married Sanford Trevino Sr. on Feb. 16, 1966 in Lamesa.

She is survived by her mother, Stephena Zungia of Los Indios; stepmother, Victoria Medrano of Batesville; daughters, Melissa Martinez of Victoria, Diane Trevino of Cuero, and Anita Trevino of Cuero; sons, Sanford Trevino Jr. of Cuero, Daniel Trevino of Cuero, and Joe Trevino of Victoria; sisters, Janie Medrano of Brownsville, Orilia Perez of Batesville, Isabell Ruiz of Batesville, Sara Rios of Bryan, Teresa Vasquez of Batesville, Adelia Munoz of College Station, Armedia Jasso of Batesville, Josie Ruiz of Batesville, and Carmen Medrano of Eagle Pass; brothers, Roy Medrano of Batesville, Lupe Medrano of Batesville, and Jose Medrano of Eagle Pass; and 18 grandchildren, including grandson, Anthony Trevino of Cuero.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Medrano Sr.; husband, Sanford Trevino Sr.; sister, Lydia Vasquez; and brothers, Joe Medrano Jr. and Fred Medrano.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe, with Father Kirby officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Sanford Trevino III, Daniel Trevino Jr., Edward Wade, Ernest Martinez, Brandon Trevino, Jon Tyler Wade, Jacob Cuellar, Caleb Cuellar, Fabian Martinez, Anthony Trevino, and Jason Trevino.

Honorary pallbearer: Devin Lane Trevino.
