Maxine Marie Farris, 85, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010. She was born January 10, 1925 in Houston to the late Max and Martha Knodel. Maxine was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and helping her community. She was an active member of the Pilot Club of Cuero since February 1980 and was one of the original coordinators of the Spaghetti Supper that raised money for traumatic brain injury camps. Maxine's kindness and sweet spirit will be truly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert W. Farris of Cuero; daughter, Karen Konarik of Sealy; sons, Robert W. Farris Jr. and wife, Anne, of Edna, David W. Farris and wife, Betty, of Cuero, Ronald E. Farris and wife, Belva, of Cuero, and Wendell Bettis of Cuero; grandchildren, Fallon, Whitney, and Caitlin of Sealy, Kevin and Keith of Edna; Jenna and Michael of Cuero, and Cameron and Case of Cuero; and two great-grandchildren, Razzi and Randi of Cat Spring.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Martha Knodel.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 1, 2010 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service beginning at 7 p.m. Interment will be Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Hollywood Cemetery in Houston.
