Maxine Larue Smock, 92, of Cuero passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021.  She was born February 21, 1929 in Greenville, Texas to Charles Townley, Sr. and Mildred Rains.  She worked as a bartender for many years.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Kenney of Cuero; sons, Terry Hebert of Hitchcock and James Keatts of Cuero; ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Oteka Schmoker and brother, Charles Townley Jr.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
