Melissa Ann Carmona, 42, of Victoria went to be with her Lord on January 23, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a graduate of St. Michaels School, Cuero High School, and Victoria College. Melissa was a loving daughter, mother, sister, and friend to all. She was a licensed cosmetician at America Hair Studio.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Carmona and son, Kameron Carmona, both of Victoria; parents, Mary and Gerry Clark and Freddy Lopez, all of Cuero; brothers, Jeremiah Lopez of Atlanta, Georgia and Jerry Clark of Port Lavaca; and niece, Nela Lopez of Atlanta, Georgia. She is also survived by a loving family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Cuero followed by a memorial mass at 10:00 a.m. with Father Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nela Lopez, Orie Hoffland, John, David, Marcelo, and Daniel Varela, Chris Salinas, Jeffrey Lopez, Stephen Wright, and Dr. Mike McLeod.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Michaels School or Educational Fund for Children at TrustTexas Bank.
