Melvin E. E. Rabenaldt, 82, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011. He was born June 26, 1928 in Yorktown to the late Fritz and Elnora Rabenaldt. Melvin served in the United States Army during the Korean War from October 6, 1950 to October 21, 1952. He married his late wife, Myrle Rabenaldt in Norheim and worked for Hix Tile Company in San Antonio for many years.

He is survived by his brothers, Leroy Rabenaldt of New Braunfels, Roland Rabenaldt of Karnes City, Elo Rabenaldt and wife, Louise, of Floresville, and James Rabenaldt of San Antonio.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Visitation will be held at Freund Funeral Home on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Karl Biermann will officiate. Fellowship and refreshments will immediately follow the service at St. Marks Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.

Pallbearers include Keith Lapp, Tracey Lapp, Clay Lapp, Michael Lapp, Wade Rogge, Curtis Rabenaldt, Michael Rabenaldt, and Harold Schlinke. Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Elvin Johnson, Ismael Pompa, and all his nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
