Mr. Milton K. Weikel, 84, of Westhoff passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019. He was born August 26, 1934 in Brownsville to the late Grover and Margaret McFarland Weikel. Milton was an engineer for the United States General Services Administration and retired after 40 years of service. He had a true passion for planes, had his private pilot's license, and served as President for the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 34. Milton also built a RV12 plane and an utralight plane.
Milton is survived by his daughter, Dawn (Mark) Peterson of Westhoff; son, Milton "Mik" (Julie) K. Weikel, Jr. of Arlington; sister, Patricia Walker of Anacortes, Washington; brother, Alan (Barbra) Weikel of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Amanda Weikel of Ft. Worth, Andrea Weikel of Colleyville, Adam (Courtney) Weikel of NRH, and Jami Peterson of Arlington; and great-grandchildren, Brayden Weikel, Emma Weikel, and Aiden Weikel, Ella Weikel, Bekka Ware, Caity Peterson and Michelle Peterson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marta Weikel; parents; and brothers, David Weikel and Grover Weikel, Jr.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019, 10 a.m., at Westhoff Cemetery with Rev. William Hill officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Texas Barnstorming Museum in Hallettsville for their flying scholarships or The American Cancer Society.
