Minerva Aguero Garcia, 72, of Cuero passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 surrounded by her family as they sang praises to the Lord.  She was born October 6, 1948 in San Antonio to Luis and Frances A. Trevino.  She married Jesus Reynaldo Garcia, Sr. in San Antonio on January 29, 1979.  Together, they had one child, Jesus Garcia, Jr.  She was employed as an office assistant for a doctor's office as well as a childcare provider.  She was employed by Cuero Hospital until 2010.   Minerva was a member of New Testament Holiness Church in Cuero and loved singing praise and worship songs.  She was very active in helping at the youth revivals at New Testament Holiness Church and had a passion for creating family trees.

She is survived by her son, Jesus Reynaldo Garcia Jr (Rebecca); sister, Lillian Aguilar, Belia Morado and brother, Oscar Navarro; and her god-daughter, Courtney Van Meter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jesus Garcia Sr.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020, 9:30 AM at New Testament Holiness Church with Funeral Services beginning at 10:30 AM with Pastor Calvis Brooks officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
