Nabor Barron Sr., 68, of Victoria, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015. He was born April 30, 1947 in Westhoff to the late Juan Barron and Maria Gamboa. He married the love of his life, Elena Barron, on August 6, 2005 in Cuero. He is a Vietnam Veteran and worked in the oil industry as a truck driver. He is survived by his beloved wife; daughters, Melissa Barron Cross (Anthony) of Plano, Jennifer Slaten of Victoria, Maria McElroy (Patrick) of Victoria, and Evie Bazaldua (Aldo) of Henderson; sons, Nabor Barron Jr. (Yolanda) of Cuero, Ricky Garcia (Alicia) of Victoria, and Aaron Barron (Elizabeth) of Texas City; sisters, Irene Villa (Sammy) of Cuero and Olga Tounley (Charles) of Cuero; brothers, John Barron (Patsy) of Cuero, Domingo Barron (Gloria) of Westhoff, and Mike Barron of San Antonio; and seventeen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be held at Freund Funeral Home on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will also be at Freund Funeral Home on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 10 am, with Mike Barron and Ricky Garcia officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
