Nancy T. Garza Heil, 44, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011. She was born in Cuero on November 5, 1966 to Robert and Martha Trevino Garza. Nancy married Brian Heil on February 14, 1987. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse at TLC Staffing in Victoria and has been in nursing for 23 years. One of Nancy's joys in life was visiting Nashville, Tennessee to attend the CMA Music Festival in June.

She is survived by her parents; her loving husband of 24 years; her daughter, Stephanie Heil of Cuero; sister, Tammy Rodriguez ( David) of Cuero; brothers, Matthew Garza and Brian Garza (Stephanie), all of Cuero; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leroy and Judy Heil of Cuero; nieces, Jamie Garza and Sarah Gallaway, both of Cuero, Amber Garza of Lubbock, Hannah Heil and Hayven Heil of Port Lavaca; nephews, Moses Rodriguez, Austin Gallaway, and Wesley Gallaway, all of Cuero; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles; and best friends, Jessie and Sylvia Galavis and Debbie Gonzalez Melon, all of Pasadena.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, March 4, 2011, 10 a.m., at Freund Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry Brown & Elias Gonzalez officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Cuero.

Pallbearers include Matthew Garza, Brian Garza, Kevin Heil, Michael Gallaway, David Rodriguez, Jessie Galavis, Michael Renteria, and Sherman Aleman.

Honorary pallbearers will be the ICU Staff of DeTar Hospital in Victoria, the ER and ICU Staff of Cuero Community Hospital, Dr. David Hill, Dr. Mark Heard, and the Counseling Staff of Cuero High School.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help defray medical and funeral expenses.
