Natalia Munoz Hernandez, 83, of Cuero passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020.  She was born September 27, 1936 in Cuero to the late Eduardo and Estefana Anzualdua.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Sara (Luis) Turcios of Pearland and Teresa (Israel) Garcia of Houston; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Evan Turcios of Pearland and Elijah, John and Isabella Garcia of Houston; brother, Eduardo Munoz Jr.; sisters, Eva Weir, and Blanca Measo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Hernandez Sr.; son, Ronnie Ray Hernandez; brothers, Joe Munoz,

Marcus Munoz, Adam Munoz, Raymund Munoz and Candilario Munoz; sisters, Jacquilina Cisneros, , Lydia Guzman, Geneva Ochoa and Ninfa Greve.

Natalia always made sure to try to give her son and granddaughters the best she could. Sara and Teresa will never forget the birthday cards she made sure to send almost every year when they were young.  Natalia was an independent, prepared woman with great strength.  She never asked of anything and always persevered. She made the best of every situation after facing such a great loss of her only son is a testament to her spirit. Her grandchildren will never forget how the sight of them would bring Natalia so much joy. Every moment with her grandchildren she cherished.  Her laugh will be remembered the most. Sara, Teresa, and her great-grandchildren will always know in their hearts the great love she had for them and will be dearly missed.

A rosary will be recited Monday, February 24, 2020, at 9:45 am with Funeral Mass to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church located at 705 W. Broadway St. Cuero, TX 77954 with Father Jacob Mendoza officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.
