Apolonia "Pauline" Ruiz Rodriguez, 79, of Cuero passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020. She was born on April 10, 1941 to the late Canuto and Modesta Alvarado Ruiz. She married Pete V. Rodriguez Sr. on July 2, 1961 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Pauline was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Pauline is survived by her three sons, Pete V. Rodriguez Jr. and wife, Yolanda, of Stafford, Michael A. Rodriguez and wife, Stephanie, of Cuero, and Jesse Rodriguez of Cuero; and 11 grandchildren, Isacc West, Michael "Chito" Varela, Michael Rodriguez Jr, Jacob, Aran, Trey, Braden, Amari, Jessiah, Nehemiah, and Azariah Rodriguez; five great-grandchildren, Faith, Cameron, and Caysen Rodriguez, and Issac and Makai Varela; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pete V. Rodriguez Sr; daughter, Ida Varela; sister, Micheala Quintanilla; and her four brothers, Lucio, Pefanio, Hilario, and Jesus Ruiz.

Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 7, 9 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with funeral mass to begin at 10 a.m. Father Jacob Mendoza officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
