Obituary
Pearlie "Sis" Edwards, 96, of Cuero passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012. She was born in Goliad on December 20, 1915 to the late Alfred and Azilee Franklin Littles. She married her beloved husband John "Jay bird" Edwards in Goliad.
She is survived by her brother, Alfred L. Littles; step-daughter, Patricia Phillips of Port Lavaca; grandchildren, Leroy Barefield III of Goliad, Sharon Cunningham, Ann Gordon, Glynell Green, Estell Cunningham, Elvis Barefield, and Jeffery Barefield Grissett, all of Victoria; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Leroy Barefield, Jr.; sister, Doris Ross; brothers, Floyd Littles, Don R. Littles, Ray D. Littles, and Leslie Littles.
Services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Rev. A L Taylor officiating. Interment to follow at Woodman Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Ben Gordon, Kenneth Cunningham, Harold Littles, Jeffery Barefield Grissett, Anthony Hamilton, John Eldridge, and Martin Eldridge.
Honorary Pallbearers include Elvis Barefield, Leroy Barefield, Andre Green, and Cedrick Cunningham.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
