Pete C. Gonzales, 88, of Victoria passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010. He was born September 15, 1921 in Cuero to the late Manuel and Maria Gonzales. Pete was a veteran of the United States Army. As a resident of Cuero, he was a salesman, antique dealer, and self employed for many years.

He is survived by his daughter, Virginia Frazier and husband, Gary, of Victoria; sons, Pete Gonzales Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Victoria, Jimmy Gonzales of Houston, and Alfred Gonzales of Victoria; sisters, Hortense Moya of Schertz, Ophelia Coggins of Sealy, and Mary Fox and husband, Marvin, of Cuero; brothers, Manuel Gonzales and wife, Delia, Joe Gonzales and wife, Ellie, and Richard Gonzales and wife, Mackey, all of Cuero; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Maria Gonzales; Mary S. Gonzales and son, Roy Dale Gonzales; and sisters, Minnie Henson and Theresa Garcia.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. A private funeral service for his family will be held Friday, May 28, 2010. Interment will immediately follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Jason Gonzales, Shane Gonzales, Kevin Gonzales, Alfred Gonzales, Jimmy Gonzales, and Frank Kremling.
