Ralph B. Hernandez, Jr., 74, passed away Monday, September 14, 2009. He was born May 26, 1935 in Westhoff to Ralph Hernandez Sr. and Pilar Puente Hernandez. He married Yolanda Osequeda on July 23, 1955 in Halettsville. They were married for 52 years. Ralph was a self-employed interior and exterior painter for many years in Cuero.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Rosas and husband Ruben of Victoria, Elizabeth Corpus and husband Frank of Mission Valley, Pilar Hernandez of Victoria, Esther Hernandez and husband Tom of Lake Jackson and Patricia Belcher of Amarillo; sons, Ralph Hernandez III and wife Rita of Amarillo and Herman Ray Hernandez and wife Penny; sisters, Virginia Salazar of Victoria, Lupe Ortiz of Arkansas, Beatrice Gonzales of Uvalde, 40 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Yolanda Hernandez; his parents; a son, Robert 'Bobby' Ramos; and two grandsons.

Visitation is Friday, September 18th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral will be Saturday, September 19th, 2 p.m., at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Cuero with Rev. Chris Rangel officiating. Burial will follow at San Miguel Cemetery in Thomaston.

Pallbearers: Mathon Martinez, Jeremy Galindo, Leroy Liendo Jr., Fernando Rosas, Tony Barrera, David Salazar, John Rodriguez, and Thomas Hernandez.
