Rinehold R. Borchardt, 90, of Cuero passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014. He was born on April 17, 1923 in Westhoff to Frank G. Borchardt and Elizabeth Afflerbach. He married the love of his life, Lee Alice Arndt Wolter on December 19, 1970 in Westhoff. Rinehold enjoyed ranching and farming for most of his life. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Lindenau, member of: Sons of Hermann, former president and agent of Hochheim Prairie Insurance in Westhoff - Branch 20, and former volunteer in the auxiliary Fire Department.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Frank and Elizabeth Borchardt, wife; Lee Alice Borchardt, brothers; Bert Borchardt and Alvin Borchardt, sisters; Annie Borchardt, Emma Borchardt, Meta Borchardt, Lena Lincke, and Frieda Borchardt.

He will be lying in state at Freund Funeral Home on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Lindenau Community Cemetery on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. with Reverend William Hill officiating.
