Robert Edward DeLeon passed away Friday, June 8, 2018.  He was born in Cuero September 3, 1941 to Ed and Bernice DeLeon.  He married the love of his life, Dorothy Jean Taylor on May 31, 1960.  Robert was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church where he had served on the church council.

Robert retired from Brentex Mills.  Some of his greatest times were spent as the Scout Master for the Boy Scouts.  He had a passion for agriculture and enjoyed the time he spent ranching on the family ranch.

Robert is survived by daughters, Michele Pargmann of Cuero and Tracee DeLeon of Huntsville; son, Jed DeLeon of Meyersville; his beloved grandsons, Justin DeLeon of Waco; Bo Pargmann of Cuero, Jacob DeLeon of Waco; and his great-grandson, Asher Rhett DeLeon of Waco.

He was proceeded in death by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy DeLeon; parents Ed and Bernice DeLeon; sister, JoAnn Wendel and beloved grandson, Cole Thomas Pargmann.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m.  at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Muehlbrad officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Bo Pargmann, Justin DeLeon, Jacob DeLeon, David Maldonado, Jeff Ruthledge and Clay Haun.  Honorary pallbearers include Asher DeLeon, Mike Parker, Amy Wilson and Billy Nami.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
