Robert "Bob" Dixon Garrett, 89, of Cuero passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024. He was born April 25, 1935 in Wichita Falls to George Franklin and Margaret Dixon Garrett. He graduated from Neville High School in 1953. He proudly served in the Army Signal Corp. He attended Louisiana State University and obtained his bachelor's degree in business. He was a commercial real estate agent for over forty years. He enjoyed playing golf and was famous for emailing jokes to all his buddies.
He is survived by his beloved dog, Missy and his dear friend and caretaker, Lorey Spears.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his long time partner, Linda Henderson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 7, 2024, 9:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 AM with Dr. Rev. Kevin Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Chad Spears, Aaron Spears, Johnny Spears, Jeff Chapman, Carlyle Stakes and Larry Coppedge.
Honorary Pallbearers include Alton Meyer and David Scott.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Cuero Pet Adoptions or First Presbyterian Church of Cuero.
