Robert Eakin, 89, of Cuero passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024.  He was born September 10, 1935 in Sinton to the late Curtis and Drewsiller Bolton Eakin.  Robert married Faye Marie Petty on July 22, 1956 in Wheatland, Wyoming.  He loved hunting, fishing, and most importantly taking care of his family.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Norma Cochran and husband, Ray, Sandra Taylor, and Anna Caraway and husband, Gary "Butch"; sons, Johnny Eakin and Allen Eakin; sister, Ann Langridge and husband, Bobby; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Faye Marie; son-in-law, O'Dell Taylor; sister, Martha Langridge; and brother, Alvin Jo Eakin.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 5 to 7 pm at Freund Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Friday, November 15, 2024, 10 am, at Freund Funeral Home with Ken McCarthy officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include David Taylor, Charles Taylor, Ernest Castillo, Chance Rangnow, Markel Salas, and Ryan Castillo.  Honorary pallbearers include Gary Caraway, Ray Cochran, and John Curtis Eakin.
