Robert Edward Overby, 68, of Cuero passed away August 17, 2020.  He was born July 3, 1952 in Augusta, Georgia to Kenneth and Doris Overby.  He married Stephanie "Stacy" Janca on June 2, 1973 in Woodsboro.  He spent four years in the Navy as a hospital corpsman, then went on to work for the State of Texas.   He later owned and operated a music store.  Robert had a love and passion to compose music.  He played the bass guitar in various bands and loved Dairy Queen Ice Cream.

He is survived by his mother, Doris Overby; his wife of 47 years, Stacy; daughter, Mandi (Chantilly) Overby of Corpus Christi; sons, Evan (Becky) Overby of Cuero, Cory (Misty) Overby of North Carolina; honorary sister, Elaine Foster of Cuero; honorary brothers, Darryl Foster of Cuero and Dan Cervantes of Cuero; Half Brother, David (Rebecca) Laschinger of Denton; grandchildren, Hailey Overby, Cambryn Overby and Logan Overby all of Cuero.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth and brother, Tom Overby.

A Private Memorial service will be held at a later date.
