Rudolfo Ramirez, 87, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 4, 1925 in Westhoff to the late Refugio and Mercedes Gonzales Ramirez. He married Benita Olguin in Westhoff in 1955. He worked for Department of Transportation for the City of Cuero for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Benita Ramirez of Cuero; daughters, Alicia Corpus of Yorktown, and Lydia Ramirez, Sylvia Ramirez, Betty Ramirez, Benita Ramirez, and Nancy Ramirez, all of Cuero; sons, Porfirio Ramirez, Roy Ramirez, and Javier Ramirez, all of Cuero; sister, Eva Martinez of Runge; grandchildren, Barry Ramirez of Cuero, Katherine M. Salinas of Yorktown, and Elizabeth Ramirez of Cuero; and great-grandchildren, Nathan Medina and Kaleigh Medina, both of Cuero.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rosa Ramirez; sister, Gumecinda Martinez; and brother, Mercedes G. Ramirez.

A private family graveside service was held Thursday, February 9, 2012 at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery.
