Mr. Rudy Perez, 61, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He was born November 13, 1952 in Cuero to the late Juanita Gonzales and Pantaleon Perez. Rudy worked in shipping and receiving at Tandy Brands for many years, was a Medications Technician at Whispering Oaks, and an X-ray technician for Cuero Community Hospital. He is survived by his sisters, Rita Casey and Diane Mendez (Ernest); brothers, Victor Perez and Gilbert Perez (Emma); and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014 with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, October 25, 2014, 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jonathan Perez, Jason Perez, Atticus Trevino, Terance Taylor, Christian Perez, Marcos Perez, and honorary pallbearer, Joe Gonzales. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help defray funeral expenses.
