Obituary
Ruth Mary Wharton, 90, of Cuero, passed away Friday, Oct. 29, 2010. She was born Oct. 12, 1920, in Gruene, to the late August and Thekla Krause. She married Truman Aubry Wharton on Feb. 26, 1941 in San Marcos. She was a devoted member of Grace Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Joy Barnhart of Dallas; son, Kenneth Wharton of Austin; and grandchildren, Joslyn Barnhart of Los Angeles and Eric Koenig of Austin.
Visitation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. today, Oct. 31, 2010, at Freund Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at Grace Episcopal Church, the Rev. John Padgett officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Corey Duckett, Brett Duckett, Sid Duderstadt, Dorian Rangnow, Eric Koenig, and Eric Pena.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Episcopal Church.
