Sarah L. Regner, 94, of La Grange passed away Monday, December 29, 2014. She was born March 6, 1920 to the late John and Margaret Carlton Meneley in Gonzales County. She married her late husband, Raymond Regner, in 1964 in Cuero. Sarah was a nurse for Dr. High and Dr. Davis and at Burns Hospital. She enjoyed gardening and raising all types of animals such as cows, chickens, pigs, and rabbits.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah E Rousseau; sons, David C. Appleman and Samuel M. Appleman; sisters, Roberta Dittman and Edith Waller; grandchildren, Debra Barnett, Timothy Rousseau, Mark Rousseau, James Appleman, Brigitte Powell, Samantha Calkins, Georgia Nisula, and Jeanice Hunzleman; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, John H. Appleman; sisters, Margaret Garrett, Ruth May Owen, and Nora Ludwig; and brothers, Joe Meneley, John Meneley, Allen Meneley, and David Meneley.

A service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015, 2:00 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero.
