Obituary

Selma Hilbrich Allison, 79, of Cuero passed away Friday, October 1, 2010. She was born February 16, 1931 in Westhoff to the late Paul and Martha DeReese Hilbrich. She married James Harvey Allison Sr. on April 9, 1950 in Westhoff. Selma was a tooler at Tex Tan Leather Company in Yoakum until retiring to enjoy time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Simon and husband, Ted, of Cuero; son, Jimmy Allison and wife, Sue, of Westhoff; sisters, Hilda 'Susie' Parker of Smiley and Ella Gary of Dothan, Alabama; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Awald Hilbrich, Alfred Hilbrich, Raymond Hilbrich, and Paul Hilbrich.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, October 4, 2010, 10:00 a.m., at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Westhoff with Pastor William Hill. Interment will follow at Westhoff Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dick Goss, Carl Sample, Jr., Gerald Allison, Ricky Hilbrich, Gary Hilbrich, and Ronnie Hilbrich.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church, Westhoff.
