Sophie Waltersdorf, 91, of Yorktown passed away January 2, 2011. She was born August 26, 1919 in Yorktown to the late Chester and Tecla Miller Lukey. She worked at the Yorktown Motel until retirement, was a homemaker, and a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Yorktown.

She is survived by daughters, Mary Ann Waltersdorf of Yoakum and Jane Waltersdorf of Cuero.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Waltersdorf; and infant brother, Herman Lukey.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 6, 2011, 10:30 a.m., at Nordheim Cemetery with Pastor Barbara Beale officiating. Interment will follow at Nordheim Cemetery.
