Stephen Forrest Hickey, 79, passed over from this life to experience the glory of the next on Thursday, August 18, 2022. He was born on April 12, 1943 in Long Beach, California to Forrest and Ruth Hickey. Stephen grew up in Venezuela where his father was working for Sun Oil Co. and his stepmother, Tressa. He then attended military school in Florida. After graduating there he moved to California and attended high school. Stephen followed in his father's footsteps, becoming a boiler maker. After working for his father, he went on to work for others, and then formed his own company. Stephen later sold his business and became an independent contractor for NTT as a boiler maker instructor. He frequently joked that he taught people how to boil water.

Stephen was large in stature, being 6 foot 8 inches tall. He was often referred to as a 'Gentle Giant' and told that his deep voice was comforting and much like the 'Voice of God". Stephen was a friend of Bob's and had many other friends who are friends of Bob.

Stephen is survived by his wife of 12 years, Donna Zengerle Hickey; ten children; one sister; and numerous grandchildren. There will be a memorial celebration of life at a later date.
