Teresa Ann Montiel, 48, of Cuero passed away Monday, December 13, 2021. She was born August 25, 1973 in Cuero to Sabino and Maria T. Rebeles Ruiz. Teresa was a loving mother and grandmother and she loved spending time with her grandson.

She is survived by her son, Steve (Strawberry) Mejias, Jr.; sisters, Jennifer Rebeles and Stephanie Danish; brother, Sabino Ruiz Jr. and grandson, Izaiah Mejias. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant grandson, John Manuel Mejias.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 20, 2021, 5-7 pm at Freund Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 21, 2021, 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jacob Mendoza officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside cemetery.

Pallbearers include Jacob Licon, Felipe Rosales, Steve Mejias Jr., Johnny Perez, Randall Mejias and Julia Galindo.

Honorary Pallbearers include Izaiah Mejias and Dawn Orosco.
