Thomas B. Torres, 69, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012. He was born December 21, 1942 in Smiley to the late Jesus G. and Natividad Bustamante Torres. He was formerly married to Mary Helen Torres. He was a welder, rancher, and mechanic.

He is survived by his children, Yvonne Torres of Yorktown, Richard Torres of Edinberg, and Alex Torres, Norma Torres, Roger Torres, Lorina Rodriguez, Debbie Torres, and Timothy Bailey, all of Victoria; sister, Virginia Cruz of Ft Worth, brothers, Jesse, Eugene, and Chris Torres; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Mike, Nick, Clifton, and Albert Torres.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be held Friday, March 16, 2012, 2:30 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with Father David Berger officiating. Interment will follow at Westhoff Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Rex Marin, Joshua Torres, David Villarreal, Cody Pena, Elias Torres, Matthew Pena, and Jamie Rodriguez.

Honorary pallbearers include Lias 'Bubba' Steen and Freddy Lee Williams.
