Obituary
Tom D. Cole, 92, of Cuero passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010. He was born in Fort Sumner, New Mexico on December 4, 1917 to the late Stuben Douglas and Irene Alan Sanders Cole. He married Avis M. Lawrence on November 28, 1943 in Donna, Texas. He was a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church, Cuero.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years; his daughters, Joann Havemann of Cuero and Janet Rhodes of Houston; sons-in-laws, Lanny Havemann and Wayne Rhodes; and grandsons, Michael Ely, Vance Ely, Jeffrey Tolliver, and Stephen Tolliver.
He is preceded by his parents and sister, Matie Lou Hall.
Services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010, 2:00 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Glenn Robertson officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his son-in-laws and grandsons.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Cuero.
