Tomacita Castillo, 85, of Westhoff passed away Monday, April 20, 2020.  She was born July 1, 1934 to the late Antonio and Juanita Alvarez in Goliad.  She married the late Martin Castillo, Sr. on April 17, 1953 in Yorktown.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She loved her time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hungry or not she always made sure you ate before leaving. Her faith and family have always been her priority. She started and ended each day with prayer and never without her coffee.

She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Castillo, Bibi Moreno, Janie Leal Weise and Christy Leister; sons, Martin Castillo Jr. and Ramundo Castillo; sisters, Barbara Calderon, Nicolasa Alvarez, Mary Helen Garcia and Elena Alvarez; brother, George Alvarez; grandchildren, Stacy Dietz, Felicia Mejia, Valerie Gregory, Vanessa Espinosa, Mac Castillo, Cristal Galindo, Savannah Baker, Jesus Roberto Leal II, Stephanie Delgado, Machelle Gonzalez, Alexander Garcia, Alyssa Leister and Devin Leister; twenty three great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Martin Castillo Sr.; sister, Salarias Calderon; brothers, Jesus Alvarez, Andres Alvarez and Dionicio Alvarez.

Graveside services were held Thursday, April 23, 2020 at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Westhoff.

Pallbearers included Benjamin Mejia, Martin Castillo Jr., Cody Baker, Dennis Weise, Frank Moreno and Jesus Roberto Leal II.  Honorary Pallbearers included Devin Leister, Michael J. Ruiz III and Cody Baker Jr.
