Tommy J. Rogers, 93, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024.  He was born March 25, 1931 in Hearne to Thomas and Ollie Rogers.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He married Bernice Laverne Piske on October 10, 1961.  Tommy enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, gun sports and reloading.  He was a full time cowboy and he loved the Lord.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary Stubbs (Mike); sons, Billy Rogers (Brenna) and TJ Rogers as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of fifty-five years, Bernice; his grandson, Justin Rogers; as well as numerous siblings.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024, 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Freund Funeral Home.  Graveside Services will be Wednesday, September 4, 2024, 10:00 AM at Hillside cemetery with Pastor Terry Brown officiating.

Pallbearers include Billy Rogers Jr., Kyle Stubbs, MP Scarbrough, Chris Ray, Mike Stubbs and Andy Koenig.

Honorary Pallbearers include Butch Caraway, Scott Rogers, Cleve Galloway, Bryan Stubbs and Levi Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freund Funeral Home in order to defray funeral expenses.
