Obituary
CUERO - Tommy V. Venegas, 85, of Cuero, passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009. He was born May 14, 1924 to the late Mary Frances Vega and Tomas Venegas. He worked 38 ½ years for Union Carbide and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Venegas of Cuero and Shirley Heron of Goliad; son, Charles Venegas of Gonzales; sister, Mary Frances Shulstead of Phoeniz, Ariz.; brother, Jesse Venegas of Lubbock; and grandchildren, Derek C. Heron and Dylan K. Heron, both of Goliad, and Andrew T. Venegas of Cuero.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Alice Aleman Venegas.
A rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, followed by Mass at 9 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with Father Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens of Cuero.
