Vangie Samuel, 34, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013. She was born April 12, 1978 in Victoria to Alfred Muniz and Juanita Gamez Morales. She was a devoted mother. She worked as a medical aide and dietician.

She is survived by her parents, Alfred Muniz and Juanita and Ruben Morales of Cuero; daughters, Halimarie Samuel, Hanna Samuel, and Zoey Sembera all of Cuero; son, Zechariah Sembera of Cuero; sisters, Stephanie Rodriguez and husband, Michael, of Cuero, Sandra Ramone of Bloomington, Peggy Muniz of Victoria, and Beatrice Rosalez of Yoakum; brother, Mario Gamez and wife, Julie; and fiancé, Derek Sembera.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Andy Muniz.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 25, 2013 for 6-8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church with Father David Berger officiating. Interment will follow at San Pedro Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Jesse Gamez, Jacob Rodriguez, Aran Rodriguez, Danny Ortiz, Anthony Ortiz, Joey Gamez, Sean Samuel, and Johnny Ray Zapata.
