Viola Lugo, 53, of Cuero passed away Friday, October 23, 2020.  She was born May 16, 1967 in Cuero to John and Ramona Cervantes Rodriguez Sr.  She married Aurelio "Willie" Lugo on August 12, 2000 in Cuero.  Viola was a CNA for twenty plus years and thoroughly enjoyed caring for the elderly.  She loved spending time with her siblings, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and three boys.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Aurelio "Willie" Lugo; sons, David (Lori) Sanders, Ramon (Desiree) Sanders and Martin (Amanda) Sanders; godchildren, Kristy Pompa, Jenni Rodriguez and Rudy Garza Jr. "Pops"; sisters, Angie (Floyd) Amador, Margie (Bobby) Pompa and Betty (Ronnie) White; brothers, John (Debbie) Rodriguez Jr., Joe (Sylvia) Rodriguez and Martin Rodriguez; grandchildren, David III, LaDawn, Ashylin, Aubrey, Ariana, Leah, Gabriella, Mariah, Ramon Jr., John, Gabriel, Viola, Adrianna, Johnavan, William and D'Anthony.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers include David Sanders Jr., Ramon Sanders Sr., Bobby Pompa Jr., Rudy Garza Jr. "Pops", Dominic White Sr., David Sanders III and Floyd Amador.

Honorary Pallbearers include Willard Mathis and Jeremaine White.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 1, 2020, 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Freund Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 2, 2020, 10 AM at Last Chance Church with Pastor Bobby Pompa and Rev. Jeremaine White officiating.  Interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery.
