Obituary

Virginia Ann Ryan Sparck passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in Evansville, Indiana at the age of 61. Virginia was born on February 16,1957 in Cuero, Texas to the late Richard and Anna Mae Wagner Ryan.  She attended St. Michael's Catholic School and was a 1975 graduate of Cuero High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Wayne Alan Sparck, on June 14, 1975 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cuero. She graduated from San Jacinto College in 1981 with an associate's degree in computer programming. Wayne and Virginia resided in  Missouri City, Texas for 34 years before relocating to Evansville, Indiana in 2012. She loved all things Christmas, her family, her huskies Ava and Ty, and God. She was extremely proud of her daughter and all her accomplishments including completing her PhD at UCLA in September. She loved a good bargain and could always solve a problem.  Virginia is survived by her husband Wayne, her daughter Erin Sparck (Dustin Bachrach) of Los Angeles, California, and siblings Kevin Ryan of Cuero, Kathleen Ryan of Houston, and Gary Ryan of Austin. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Richie. Visitation will be Monday, October 15, 2018 at Freund Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. Services will be Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Jacob Mendoza officiating.  Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Virginia's life. Memorial contributions: St. Michael's Catholic School or Pet Adoptions of Cuero.
