Mrs. Wanda Proctor Reuss, 82, of Cuero passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011. She was born October 6, 1929 in Texon to the late Jewel Agnes and Frank Proctor Sr. Wanda married Joe B. Reuss on July 5, 1958 at First United Methodist Church in Cuero. Prior to retirement she was co-owner of Reuss and ValuMart Pharmacies and homemaker. She was a founding member of Burns Hospital Auxiliary 'Pink Ladies', Heirloom Quilters and Stitchers' Guild, a life member of DeWitt County Museum and Historical Commission, and a member of First United Methodist Church in Cuero. Wanda enjoyed researching genealogy and had a fond interest in international travel.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Smith; nieces and nephews, Randy Smith and wife, Carla, Stacey Robins and husband, Tom, Lori Scott and husband, David, Joseph (Dale) Reuss, and Ronald (Chip) Reuss; great-nieces and nephews, Thomas Robins, Blake Robins, Theodore August Reuss and wife, Jenny, Jessica Rene Smith, and Colin Andrew Reuss; and special friends, David Polasek and Jerry Zengerle.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Frank A. Proctor Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 17, 2011, 1:30 p.m., at First United Methodist Church in Cuero with Pastor Don Snyder and Wes Dukes officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
