Obituary

W.E. "Bill" Trautwein, 77, of Victoria passed away Friday, November 30, 2012, after a brief illness. He was born on May 29, 1935 in Meyersville, TX. to the late William and Annie Wolf Trautwein.

Bill loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing for many years. He was a real cowboy and devoted his retirement years to ranching. Fiercely independent, and as generous as he was ornery, he had a quick wit and could tell a good story. He loved his kids unconditionally.

He is survived by his daughters, Joani Bishop and husband, Jim, of Austin and LeeAnne Ackerson, also of Austin; son, Edd Trautwein and wife, Lola, of Victoria; brothers; Verlin Trautwein of Cuero and Bob Trautwein of California; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-granchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero. Services will be held Monday, December 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero.
