William Traylor (Bill) Bell, 90, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019. He was born in Cuero to the late Charlotte Traylor and John Y. Bell on December 2, 1928. He proudly served as a U.S. Marine in the Korean War. He was a lifelong rancher in Dewitt and Calhoun counties. Bill was known to be a southern gentleman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Charlotte Bell Kennon.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Singletary Bell; son, John (Suzanne) Bell; daughter, Katy (Jeff) Nagel; sister, Betsy Bell Stolhandske; grandchildren, Will (Nora) Nagel, Molly (Troy) Warner, Jenny (Conrad) Koski, Steven (Kaylee) Bell, Patrick (Addie) Bell; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 11, 2019, 10 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Bill Cotman officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of South Texas, First Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice.
