William David Buch, 75, of Cuero passed away Friday, January 9, 2015. He was born March 26, 1939 in Edgar, Texas to the late William Henry and Lorene Elizabeth Buch. David married Bertha Lee Thompkins on March 3, 1963 in Baxley, Georgia. He was a veteran serving in both the National Guard of Texas and the United States Army. David was an avid coon hunter and a fur trader.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years; daughters, Tammy Boehl of Port Lavaca, Anna Arnim of New Braunfels, Susan Ocker of Buda, and Georgia Cessor of Cuero; sisters, Martha Hudgeons, Anita Jean Causey, and Betsy Jo Buch; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 12, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be Tuesday, January 13, 2015, 1:00 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero.

Pallbearers include Grover Cessor, Morris Arnim, Matthew Ocker, and Bill Boehl.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to Hospice of South Texas.
