William (Bill) Cone, age 62 of Seguin, passed away on Nov. 21, 2012.
A memorial service celebrating Bill's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Keith Wyatt and the Rev. Ron Welborn officiating. A reception will follow in the Christian Life Center. Private interment will be held at a later date.
Bill was born in Cuero on Sept. 16, 1950 to Robert and Billie Winslett Cone. He graduated from Seguin High School Class of 1969 and attended SWTSU (Texas State) where he later taught microbiology labs. Bill will be remembered as owning and operating multiple, successful bio-tech businesses. Through these businesses many people were employed and given many opportunities to succeed. He loved the outdoors, especially the time he spent ranching.
He is preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Mary Cone; daughter, Jennifer Cone; son, Will Cone and wife Laura; his grandson, Jackson Conover who brought him great joy; father Robert Cone Jr.; brothers, Robert Cone III and wife Gail, and Kerry Cone and wife Caroline; brother-in-law, Bill Buenning; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill was an extremely generous man. He will be missed by his loving family and many friends.
