William B. Lucas, 66, of Cuero passed away Monday, September 6, 2010. He was born February 25, 1944 in Cuero to the late Chester and Hedwig Lagleder Lucas. William worked for Gulf Coast Wood Products for 30 years before opening Gulf Coast Motor and Controls. He retired after 20 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Lorie Lucas of Cuero; son, Larry Lucas of Cuero; brother, Chester Michael Lucas Jr. and wife, Mary Ann, of Cuero; sister, Virginia Bohne and husband, Floyd, of Cuero; and grandchildren, Ethan Lucas and Tanner Lucas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.. Services will be held Thursday, September 9, 2010, 10 a.m., at Freund Funeral Home with Father Kirby Hlavaty. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Will Gips, Rodney Flessner, Gary Bohne, Floyd Bohne, Farrell Kuecker, and Wilbert Kuecker. Honorary pallbearers are Bud Harryman and Dale Harryman.
