Willie Tamez, 54, of Cuero went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 20, 2016. He was born on April 13, 1962 in Yorktown to Domingo & Eva Tamez. Willie was an extremely hard working man who liked to spend his time outdoors working with his hands. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, slow cooking BBQ and making people smile. Willie was a loving father, grandfather and friend to many. He was survived by his mother Eva Tamez; his 9 children, Michelle Hayes, Gabriel Hooper, Catherine Mitchell, William Tamez, Eva Luna, Anna Salles, Julie Tamez, Erika Tamez, Little Tamez; 16 grandchildren; sisters Lupe Monjaras and Janie Tamez; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Domingo Tamez; son, Domingo Cruz Tamez; and brother Frank Tamez. Visitation will be held Friday, November 25, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Westhoff with Father Charles Otsiwah officiating. Interment to follow at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery in Westhoff. Willie will be greatly missed and we know he will look down upon us with a smile as his spirit lives on threw the family he has left behind.
