CUERO - Wilma Wolter, 81, of Cuero, passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009. She was born Oct. 17, 1927, in Cuero, to the late Fred Meyer and Ella Von Haefen Meyer. She was a seamstress, cook, and homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Jank; son, Calvin Wolter; sisters, Elvira Meyer and Junell Thamm, both of Cuero, and Irene Harbus of Yoakum; brother, Alden Meyer of Victoria; grandchildren, Brandon Wolter and wife Kaylee, Shelby Wolter, Chase Wolter, Kimberly Weitz and husband John, Megan Peterek and husband Chad, and Britany Jank; and great-grandchildren, Tanner Weitz, Seifer Wolter, Cade Peterek, and Zachry Peterek.

Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Jan. 9, 2009 at Freund Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009 at St. John Lutheran Church in Lindenau. Burial will follow at Lindenau Community Cemetery.
