Yolanda O. Escalona, 73, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022.  She was born January 22, 1949 in Mission, Texas to Julio and Maria Luisa Herebia Ortiz.

She is survived by her daughters, Martha Escalona Gonzales of Houston, Leticia Nanez of Houston and Irene Sanchez of Poth; son, Daniel Gonzales of Cuero; brothers, Benito Herebia of Troop and Jose Luis Garcia of South Texas and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sons, Pedro Escalona and Alfredo Escalona.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 20, 2022, 10 AM at Freund Funeral Home with Funeral Services beginning at 11 AM with Rev. Adolf B. Cortinas.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Danny Gonzales, Isaiah Gonzales, Raul Perez, Gabriel Rodriguez, Jasmine Gonzales, Selest Perez and David Maldonado.

Honorary pallbearers include Claudia Gonzales, Isabella Sanchez, Celeste Barahona and Avari Rodriguez.
